Largest Deer Herd So Far

Yesterday afternoon we had the largest herd of white-tailed deer in our yard so far. This pictures shows 19, if I counted correctly, and we had more on other parts of the property, including two bucks. So I guess we might have had up to 25 deer. Unfortunately, quite a few of the pictures I took with my smartphone camera didn’t turn out well. So I have just this one here:

What a Crowd!

  1. Gut, dass deine Bäumchen jetzt geschützt sind 🙂

  2. It’s just the beginning!

  3. My goodness. Looks like you have made them very happy.

    • Well, I believe the corn does make them happy. They know exactly the sound when the container is being opend, and come running from everywhere. 😉

  5. That’s the greatest number of deer I’ve ever seen in one place.

A few weeks ago a mother and two fawns came onto my front lawn, and last week I saw two bucks together elsewhere in the neighborhood.

  6. Still a magical sight! You just need a little snow and some sleigh bells 🙂

    • Well, (sleigh) bells I can provide, but snow? Here in southern Texas? That might prove difficult. 😉 But yes: it would be magical. 🙂

  7. What a beautiful sight! Your yard looks beautiful, love the green grass. Nooo snow, please. 🙂
