  1. very nice to have that in your back yard. when it is like this, does it attract more/ different wildlife?

    • Hi Johanna,
Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog and for leaving a comment. 🙂 As to the creek attracting more/different wildlife when it’s running: not really. There seem to be some frogs, when it has water. And there’s also another, more annoying kind of “wildlife”: mosquitoes! They come when the creek is no longer flowing but still has pools of stagnant water. And those pools also create a good opportunity for the deer to water. But we don’t have more deer than usual. They come by anway, day after day, water or no water in the creek.
      Have a great weekend,

  2. Wow! That’s a lot of water! Fun, fun! How long does it last?

    • Hi Rhythm,
Yep, it’s fun to watch. And when it’s no longer rushing like in the videos, but either just a gentle flow or puddles only, Sally likes to wade it it.
How long it lasts? The first time, when we had that 3-day rain during Memorial Day weekend, the creek kept flowing for another about another day or two after the rain had stopped. But this flood here was gone much quicker. It stopped in less than 2 hours after that rain. Which in itself didn’t last longer than two hours.
      Have a great day,

  3. Das ist ja direkt zu einem kleinen, reissenden FluĂź geworden. Aber wie ich gelesen habe, war das Wasser auch bald wieder weg.

    Liebe GrĂĽĂźe
